The arrows in this picture show the magnetic field caused by the wire with the current coming towards us.    We can draw an imaginary circle with a radius of 1m around the wire and then integrate the magnetic field around the imaginary circle.  At all points on this imaginary circle the magnetic field has the same magnitude and is pointing around the circle.
